Sustainability & Eco-Credentials

The Green House is a Grade II Victorian villa that operates with solar energy and uses sustainable materials throughout the property. The hotel's commitment to environmental sustainability is its most outstanding feature, with practices that include electric vehicle charging stations and a focus on reducing plastic waste. This approach has earned the hotel a spot as one of the UK's Top 50 wedding venues, attracting eco-conscious travelers and business professionals seeking sustainable venues.

Accommodations

Each of the 32 rooms is named after a tree and contains hand-made furniture, organic bed linen, and a sleek bathroom with a natural stone basin and walk-in shower. Rooms offer complimentary bottled water and luxury toiletries, with some featuring a roll-top bath in the bedroom as a distinctive design element. The hotel provides allergy-free rooms and facilities for disabled guests, including a raised toilet and grab rails, ensuring accessibility for a range of needs.

Dining

The on-site Arbor Restaurant holds an AA 2 Rosette rating and serves a creative menu made with locally sourced organic produce, alongside a fully organic wine list. Breakfast includes a cooked-to-order menu with options such as the full English and omelettes, plus a continental buffet with pastries and fresh juice. The bar offers a bar menu with options like a vegan burger, and guests can also book afternoon tea with sweet and savory items made in-house.

Location & Nearby Attractions

The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Bournemouth's blue-flag beaches and the Bournemouth Pier, with the Pavilion Theatre and Bournemouth Rail Station both less than a mile away. Guests have direct access to the New Forest National Park and the Lower Gardens, combining coastal and countryside attractions within a short distance. The property offers complimentary on-site parking for £10 per 24 hours and has an electric vehicle charging station, with Bournemouth town centre a 5-minute walk in the opposite direction.

Business & Events

The hotel's versatile meeting spaces can accommodate up to 70 people for conferences, meetings, or weddings, with a dedicated events team managing the planning process. The Green House is listed as one of the UK's Top 50 wedding venues and frequently hosts private celebrations, including birthday parties and receptions. For corporate guests, the property offers a 24-hour front desk, concierge service, and a meeting room with catering from the Arbor Restaurant.

radiator repainting poor soundproofing
My stay wasn't flawless. The room needed some love. The bathroom radiator needed a paint job, and the cast iron bath had seen better days, showing stains and rust. the soundproofing was pretty bad. I could hear every footstep and creak from the room above. It was a bit distracting, to say the least.
